Martin Reiner in Second City
Czech poet Martin Reiner has a new book out called In the Land of Cannibals. It contains 40 English translations of his poems. The publication is a nice pocket size paperback with poems taken from two previously published books in the U.S. (Where is the Urn?, 2005 and Art Bureau's chapbook, No Through Road, 2007). A dozen more poems have also been added and are being published in English for the first time. The book was published in April 2009 by Druhe Mesto (Second City) out of Bruno, Czech, but you may email Martin for price and shipping info (info [!AT] martinreiner.cz).------------
Three of Martin's poems can also be found in the recently published book Up the Devil's Back: A Bilingual Anthology of 20th-Century Czech Poetry (Slavica Publishers, 2008).
